Galaxy S25 FE Is Already Happening? Samsung’s Next Fan Edition Spotted Early

Samsung is yet to launch the Galaxy S25 Edge, while a new smartphone under the same series has been spotted online, which could be the Galaxy S25 FE.

Earlier this year, Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 series, including three standard models—base, plus, and ultra—at the Galaxy Unpacked event. Alongside these devices, the company also gave a sneak peek at the coming smartphone under the same series, called Galaxy S25 Edge, which is highly anticipated to be announced in selected regions at the end of May.

Meanwhile, now a new report suggests that Samsung is also working on a new smartphone, the Galaxy S25 FE. One of our reliable colleagues, Android Authority, has spotted internal code that suggests that Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy S25 FE as the successor of the Galaxy S24 FE

It has been speculated since the letter ‘R’ in the spotted strings typically refers to the FE smartphones. For instance, R9 stands for the Galaxy S21 FE, R10 is for the Galaxy S22 FE, R11 is for the Galaxy S23 FE, and R12 is for the current Galaxy S24 FE.

Galaxy S25 FE May Skip Exynos 2500 in Favor of 2400e

Now the newly spotted string includes R13, which is anticipated to refer to the Galaxy S25 FE. Reportedly, the company could power the device with its in-house Exynos 2400e chipset, which is below expectations, since the standard variants of the series are powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.

However, there’s no official word regarding the Galaxy S25 FE yet, so it remains to be seen whether this device will come into existence and, if yes, how much time the company will take to launch it.
