One UI 8 to bring Galaxy AI-powered Video Summary feature

Samsung is expanding the Android 15-based One UI 7, meanwhile an exclusive report suggests that its next major update, Android 16-based One UI 8, will bring a new convenient too called Video Summary.
One of our colleagues, SammyGuru, exclusively reported that Samsung will introduce a new AI-powered feature called Video Summary. It will be compatible with analysing the video, detecting speech, visuals, and captions.

The new leaked Video summarisation tool is based on a multimodal AI model, which makes it compatible to summarise the key details of the video, which comes neatly packaged to the user in a neatly organised manner for easier understanding.
However, it’s not an exclusive feature, since a few tools with similar functionality already existed in other browsers, and even on YouTube itself. But having this feature dedicated, among the rest of the Galaxy AI suite, right within your browser seems quite handy.
Noticeably, without even any new video summarization tool, Samsung Internet will merely summarize the title and description of a given YouTube video. Reportedly, while testing the tool on a video tour of the new Samsung Internet GUI, it offers a concise summary of all key points discussed in the video. Currently, the ‘Detailed’ option for summaries in Galaxy AI does not yet work with the current video tool, but it’s expected to work seamlessly with the final update. Samsung has yet to release any official statement regarding this rumored Video summary feature.
