Samsung debuts Galaxy Buddy 4 Business smartphone in South Korea

Samsung launches its new mid-range “Galaxy Buddy 4 Business as the rebranding of Galaxy A16 5G, in its home country. 

A few months back, in 2024, Samsung launched the Galaxy A16 5G smartphone; now it has launched the same device with the new branding, “Galaxy Buddy 4 Business,” for customers on the LG U+ network. 

In case you are astonished by this launch, don’t be, since Samsung has a long history of launching the same device with different names in different countries. Let’s take a closer look at the Galaxy Buddy 4 Business. 

Samsung launched the device with the dedicated model number SM-A166L, which is rebadged Galaxy A16 5G made for the LG U+ network. It features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and Full HD+ resolution. To add an extra layer of protection, Samsung offered an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. 

The company used Exynos 1380 to power the device with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The battery package includes a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. The camera setup includes a 50MP primary camera, a 5mp ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front side, a 13MP selfie camera is housed. 

It runs Android 15-based One UI 7 out of the box, and it will get five major OS updates. Samsung offered three colour options, including Blue Black, Light Grey, and Gold.
