Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge brings a new revolution to the smartphone market in terms of slimness, with all the high-end specifications. Still, despite that, it is struggling to fulfill the sales expectations.
Last month, Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 Edge as the fourth model of the Galaxy S25 series. The smartphone is the slimmest smartphone ever in the Galaxy family, with a thickness of just 5.8 mm. However, apart from the slimness, it features almost similar specifications to other flagship devices.
A new report from a reliable source, TheElec, revealed that the sales recorded by the Galaxy S25 Edge would be lower than Samsung’s expectations. Usually, the flagship smartphones sell more in the first three months after launch, but unfortunately, it’s not the case for the newly launched Galaxy S25 Edge, as it is already struggling with lower sales.
Previously, it was also reported that Samsung is looking forward to replacing the Plus model with the Edge in the next-generation Galaxy S26 series. The reason behind this replacement is that the Plus model has been the weakest performing out of the three models the company traditionally launches for a Galaxy S lineup. However, the Galaxy S25 Edge’s lower sales could force the company to change its mindset.
On the other hand, it is also reported to increase the units of foldable phones aimed at the US this month than it initially planned. It remains to be seen exactly what will happen next and how the company will deal with the lower sales of the Galaxy S25 Edge.
