One UI 8 could help in improving Battery backup in Galaxy devices

Samsung’s new One UI 8 has been the new talk of the town for quite some time now! The upcoming OS, designed for the Galaxy smartphones, foldables, and tablets, is already running on the Galaxy S25 family but in its beta stage; a recent report claims that the leaked One UI 8 stable build hides battery performance upgrades.
While it’s confirmed to be debuting with Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 models, it looks like Samsung is already testing One UI 8 via its internal test servers for more devices.
At the same time, previously, the Galaxy S25 unit was spotted running a stable One UI 8 build, carrying version number S938BXXU5BYG1.
Now, the similar stable build (via Tarun Vats on X) running on the Galaxy S25 Ultra device reveals that Samsung has significantly improved and enhanced the battery backup; the optimizations look fantastic, and it certainly hints that the future updates could bring similar battery improvement as well.
However, it’s important to note that such builds are not developed to be released publicly to all the users, as Samsung keeps these builds limited to its test servers. Therefore, it is too early to predict that upcoming builds could bring the same functionality as spotted with the One UI 8 stable test build mentioned earlier.
Well, so far, Samsung has been testing the One UI 8 version, which is going to run Android 16 on top, carrying various key capabilities of Google’s Android 16 version, while also integrating some more One UI customizations and features. Also, it remains to be seen how Samsung will implement changes in its next major OS.
