While other major Galaxy devices have already started receiving the latest August 2025 security patch, there are a few older-generation phones that are getting a second July 2025 security update in South Korea.
The Galaxy S20 FE, alongside the Galaxy Note 20 series, is just receiving the July 2025 security update for the second time, while it has already received the update previously.
Currently, the second July patch for the above-mentioned Galaxy devices is in Samsung’s own fort, South Korea, and perhaps the update could be expanded to more major regions in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the new update for the Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra is identified with the N981NKSS9HYG5 and N986NKSS9HYG5, respectively. Similarly, the Galaxy S20 FE units are also getting the July security update for the second time, which comes with a new version number, G781NKSSCGYG3.
As usual, the monthly security updates are significantly meant to increase and strengthen the overall system security. The update focuses on maintaining the device’s overall security and core functionality. It packs a bunch of key bug fixes for all the security issues and other relevant vulnerabilities in order to offer a more secure user experience, while also protecting the device against sophisticated threats.
Well, Samsung is already processing the latest August 2025 security update for the Galaxy devices and has just delivered Wear OS 6-based One UI 8 Watch beta 2 for Galaxy Watch 7 units, while users can test out the latest beta build, which brought certain improvements to all the existing features that came alongside One UI 8 Watch.
