Google Pixel 10 series’ newest AI-powered feature takes inspirations from Samsung’s Now Brief

Samsung has indeed made a significant shift in AI innovation and technology when it first introduced its Galaxy AI suite with One UI 6.1 and is continuing to enhance it by integrating certain AI features, with the most recent one being the Now Brief.
However, it looks like Google took inspiration from Samsung and added a new function that rivals the Galaxy device’s Now Brief via its newest Pixel 10 series.
The Galaxy S25 series, launched with One UI 7 on board, exclusively marked the arrival of Now Brief, an AI-powered feature that significantly guides users throughout their entire day by offering suggestions, such as morning, midday, and evening briefs; schedule reminders; checking coupon expiration; and wrapping up your day, and even supporting third-party apps like Samsung Health, that can be easily accessible via Now Bar on the phone’s lock screen.
Meanwhile, Google’s newly launched Pixel 10 series comes with an AI-powered feature called Daily Hub. This function is apparently more or less identical to Samsung’s Now Brief. Google’s Daily Hub also shows a personalized feed with essential information at a specific time of the day.

More specifically, the Daily Hub feature can display details like greetings, calendar entries, the weather of the day, stories from Google News, and more. However, it remains to be clear whether the function supports extraction of data from certain third-party apps, like Samsung’s Now Brief, as it can easily extract health-based insights from the Samsung Health app.
Well, Samsung and Google’s rivalry go hand in hand, whereas it remains to be seen whether Google enhances the feature’s functionality further or Samsung’s Now Brief still takes the significant lead.
