Samsung SmartThings Family Care update brings support for families living near or apart

Samsung’s SmartThings offers a seamless connection and control over a wide range of smart home devices, providing the ability to control smart home gadgets such as smart TVs in one place. Meanwhile, Samsung added a Family Care section within its most useful SmartThings last year, and now, the company has started providing a new update to add more support for families.
SmartThings is now connected to smart TVs and other home appliances. SmartThings Family Care is receiving a new update that makes the service more advanced; at the same time, it provides real-time notifications, medications, appointment reminders, and location-based alerts.
At the same time, the latest update for the Samsung SmartThings Family Care service significantly brings a more simplified initial connection and setup process, where the company has customized settings in such a manner that offers great precision that is tailored to every family’s lifestyle and needs. Not just this, the service has now been integrated with Samsung Health, which eventually helps users to track their dear or loved ones’ health and well-being.

While SmartThings Family Care helps families to easily check in on their loved and dear ones even when they are far apart, further, Samsung aims to embrace Family Care to offer a smarter and more connected way to support families to look for one another even when living apart. Specifically, the care recipients can easily join the SmartThings Family Care via an invitation link sent by their caregiver. The update further provides activity tracking and inactivity alerts that provide peace of mind to the caregiver when they are living apart from the care recipient.

Lastly, the SmartThings Family Care has been integrated with the Samsung Health app, allowing caregivers to view certain key details, including bedtime, wake-up time, and daily step counts, and remembers various important dates and events, including the care recipient’s regular health checkups, medication schedules, family get-togethers, and hospital appointments. Once the Family Care is successfully set up, the caregiver and care recipients both will receive reminders at the perfect scheduled time.
