Galaxy S24 Series gets most-awaited AI features with One UI 8 Beta

Samsung has been working hard with the distribution of the Android 16-based One UI 8 beta program for the Galaxy S24 series, with the flagships just starting to receive the second beta build. At the same time, the latest beta update brought a few significant features for which the users have been waiting!
The company has started delivering One UI 8 beta 2 for the Galaxy S24 family, and it brought about a bunch of significant bug fixes and other relevant improvements; meanwhile, not just this, Samsung has further added a few big AI-powered features within the S24 models via the latest second beta update. The Galaxy S24 receive a Galaxy AI feature thanks to the One UI 8 Beta 2
Specifically, the newest beta firmware for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra has been identified with the ZYHB version, and this build brings new features that are highly awaited and are powered by AI. These features include Call Captions, Audio Eraser, and Read Aloud for Now Brief. At the same time, it’s surprising that Samsung has added these features on the Galaxy S24 first, instead of the S25 series.

Well, all the features work with AI-based mechanisms, starting with Call Captions, a feature that apparently displays what the person is saying on the screen when on a phone call. Although the features sound similar to One UI 7’s call transcript function, Samsung has enhanced the functionality to provide instant results by reducing the additional process of recording calls first and then transcribing them.

Next up is Audio Eraser. Samsung has integrated Audio Eraser (exclusively arrived on the Galaxy S25 series) on the Galaxy S24 with One UI 8 beta 2, which allows users to eliminate or erase distracting noises from videos by adjusting volumes of voices, wind, and other sounds, and it also provides four different sliders corresponding to noises like crowds, wind, voices, and music from the background.

Lastly, the update further adds Read Aloud functionality for Now Brief, where users will be able to listen to their daily briefs, providing a more effortless and convenient experience.
Well, these above-mentioned features have been spotted with the latest One UI 8 beta 2 for the Galaxy S24 series, and it’s not clear whether Samsung will keep the features once the stable version arrives.
