One UI 8.5 Leak Hints at Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro

Samsung is now looking forward to expanding its truly wireless earbuds family by introducing the next-generation Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro. Now, model numbers of these buds have been revealed in the One UI 8.5 leak.

Under the hood, the Korean tech giant has started working on its upcoming Galaxy Buds 4 and Galaxy Buds 4 Pro, which are anticipated to launch alongside the Galaxy S26 series in early 2026. 

Meanwhile, one of our reliable colleagues, Android Authority, shared a leaked build of One UI 8.5, which includes the product number of two new unannounced headset models, as mentioned below:

  • Galaxy Buds 4 – SM-R540
  • Galaxy Buds 4 Pro – SM-R640

The model numbers are similar to the previous generation, as the Galaxy Buds 3 hold SM-R530, while the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro have SM-R630. It’s almost confirmed that Samsung will introduce the latest software, the One UI 8.5 version, initially with the next-generation Galaxy S26 series.

Reportedly, the leaked One UI 8.5 build also revealed a few new changes coming in Samsung’s software ecosystem; for instance, core apps like Phone and My Files have been updated with several upgrades in both interface and features, showing that the Korean technology company is preparing to enter a cycle of synchronized upgrades for hardware and software.
