Samsung launched Galaxy M17 5G with six major OS updates promise

Samsung has expanded its budget-friendly smartphone family by debuting the new Galaxy M17 5G in India, featuring average specifications that fit with the price.
Earlier this year, Samsung launched the Galaxy M16 smartphone, and now it has introduced the Galaxy M17 as its successor. A few days back, it was reported that Samsung will launch its latest Galaxy M17 5G smartphone on October 10, and today is the day; the report has come true.
The newly launched Galaxy M17 smartphone features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 9 Hz and 1,100 nits of brightness. To prevent the device from physical damage, the company equipped it with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.
Samsung powered the device with its in-house Exynos 1330 chipset, integrated with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It runs Android 15-based One UI 7 out of the box and will receive six major OS upgrades.
The camera setup includes a 50MP primary with OIS, a 5MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro camera. A 13MP selfie camera is housed on the front side. The device is available in three variants based on storage, with dedicated prices, which are as follows:
- 4GB of RAM + 128GB of internal storage—INR 12,499
- 6GB of RAM + 128GB of internal storage—INR 13,999
- 8GB of RAM + 128GB of internal storage—INR 15,499
