One UI 8

Samsung’s One UI 8.5 to make Adaptive Lock Screen Clock much more impressive!

With One UI 8.0, Samsung has added an interesting Adaptive lock screen clock feature, and it looks like the feature will be improved with the upcoming One UI 8.5 update, says the report.

Adaptive lock screen clock, a feature that is more like an elastic adjustment effect on the phone’s lock screen clock. It’s quite distinctive in that the clock on the lock screen automatically adjusts by contracting and extending itself according to the object’s outline applied in the phone’s wallpaper.

However, until now, the lock screen clock can only detect humans’ and animals’ outlines in the wallpaper and adjusts itself accordingly.

Now, according to the fresh report posted by the tipster, UniverseIce, via X, the latest version of the One UI 8.5 build spotted recently suggests that the adaptive clock will now be able to recognize all the objects that are carved on the lock screen wallpapers, be they any living or non-living being, and is finally not limited to human creators or animals.

At the same time, the tipster has posted a short video as well, where the comparison can be clearly noticed. The lock screen clock in One UI 8.0 (on the left) is unable to detect the object’s outline, while simultaneously, the clock easily adjusts itself according to the outline of the object with the One UI 8.5 version (on the right).

Well, it’s clear that Samsung will be adding more improvements to the adaptive lock screen clock with the upcoming One UI 8.5 version. Nevertheless, the most probable timeline for the beginning of the One UI 8.5 beta program is as early as in the month of November; it remains to be seen when Samsung will start the beta phase. Also, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has already been spotted running the One UI 8.5 internal test build.
