Samsung Galaxy S22 users, your One UI 8 update is on its way, as the company resumes the rollout after a brief pause.
After a long wait, Samsung started rolling out the Android 16-based One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S22 series. However, before the update rolled out widely, it suddenly disappeared from the OTA server, suggesting that the company may have discovered system bugs or performance issues in the early stages of release.
Now, a post on X shared by @Koram_Akhilesh revealed that Samsung has resumed the One UI 8 rollout after a brief pause in the selected markets, including India and Europe, with dedicated build versions, as mentioned below –
- India (INS) – UCGYIF
- Europe (EUX) – UIGY17
However, the company hasn’t revealed the exact reason behind pausing the update, or whether it has identified any major issues in the software.
The Galaxy S22 users in India and Europe, who haven’t upgraded their smartphones to One UI 8, can now install the latest software version as the company resumed the rollout.
Apart from this, the company is already actively working on extending the One UI 8 rollout to all the eligible smartphones widely and moving on to the next major iteration, One UI 8.5.
