Samsung could supply foldable displays for Apple’s upcoming iPad in 2029

Samsung is now reported to extend its supply chain with Apple to supply more foldable displays not only for the foldable iPhone but also for the foldable iPad.

This is evident from reports from the past few days that Apple is considering partnering with Samsung to fulfill the premium display requirements; for instance, it was revealed that Apple chose Samsung Display for touchscreen MacBook Pro OLED supply, and more.

Previously, it was reported that Samsung would supply its foldable display to Apple for a foldable iPhone. Now, a new report from Bloomberg revealed that Apple is considering using the foldable display from Samsung for its upcoming iPad.

According to the report, Apple is delaying the launch of the iPad with a foldable display from 2028 to 2029, as the brand has come across challenges during the tablet’s development. Transparently, Samsung is a pro player in making premium foldable displays, as it has seven years of experience in this field, and it is one of the brands that has produced the highest number of foldable displays to date.

The key reason behind choosing Samsung Display over other brands is that it keeps innovating and implementing new technologies in the foldable display space, which delivers the best results to enhance user experience.

Although it is not the first time Apple has partnered with Samsung to use OLED displays, it has already chosen Samsung as a major supplier for OLED displays for many of its products.
