Galaxy S25, S25 Edge, and S23 FE updates to the October 2025 Security Patch

Samsung is working on the October 2025 security update distribution for its Galaxy devices; meanwhile, the company is rolling out the update for a few phones in its home country, South Korea.

Basically, the Galaxy S25, S25 Edge, and S23 FE have started receiving the October 2025 Security update, starting from South Korea, and the availability to even more countries is expected in the coming weeks.

Specifically, the update for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra is recognized with the S931NKSS6BYJ2, S936NKSS6BYJ2, and S938NKSS6BYJ2, respectively, while the younger sibling, the Galaxy S25 Edge, carries the S937NKSS3BYJ2 version number.

At the same time, the update is also available for the Galaxy S23 FE models, carrying the S711NKSSADYJ5 version number. Therefore, users can now download the latest version on their devices through Settings >> Software update >> Download and install.

However, the latest October 2025 security update doesn’t bring any major features or changes; instead, it focuses on improving the device’s overall security, core functionality, and performance to provide a smooth, secure, and efficient user experience, while also protecting the device against potential threats.

Not just this, the update further adds stability to the entire system behavior, and brings certain performance optimizations to ensure smoother performance.

Well, Samsung has already started the process of rolling out the October 2025 security update for the Galaxy S25, S25 Edge, and Galaxy S23 FE phone owners, while it’s obvious that the update will not reach all the users at once, thus, they need to wait, as the rollout process will happen in patches.
