Samsung’s One UI 8 now expands to the Verizon-locked Galaxy A53 in the US

Samsung initiated the process of the One UI 8 distribution for the Galaxy A53 in its home country, South Korea; meanwhile, the company is now looking towards expanding the update for the device in the US.
Basically, earlier this month, Samsung released an Android 16-based update for the Galaxy A53; however, it was only limited to South Korea. Now, the update seems to be expanding in the US as well, as the Galaxy A53 is spotted receiving the update in the country on the Verizon carrier, in particular.
Specifically, the latest firmware for the Galaxy A53 has been identified with the A536VSQUIGYJ2 version number and also integrates the October 2025 Security patch.
At the same time, Samsung’s One UI 8 runs Android 16 on top, while it brings new UI elements with more vibrant colors, improved widgets, and optimized layouts that take the entire user experience to the next level. The update is further packed with new and more improved Galaxy AI features like Gemini and Adaptive lock screen clock, alongside upgraded productivity, security & privacy, and accessibility for an efficient, smooth, and optimized user experience.
Other than that, the update is also integrated with the October 2025 security patch that significantly focuses on improving the device’s overall security, core functionality, and performance, which eventually provides a smoother, effective, and optimized experience for the users, while also protecting the device against external potential threats.
Well, Samsung has already started providing the One UI 8 update for the Galaxy A53 owners, and therefore, the users can now download the update through Settings >> Software update >> Download and install.
