Samsung Galaxy S26 series could meet an intense price hike

Samsung Galaxy S26 series is now anticipated to meet a massive price hike due to the intense pressure from rising costs of semiconductors and camera modules.

Under the hood, Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy S26 series next year in February. The lineup will include at least three variants: Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.

A new report from a reliable blog, ETNews, revealed that the upcoming Galaxy S26 series could be more expensive than its predecessor Galaxy S25 series. The reason behind the price hike predictions is that the company may face intense pressure due to the rising costs of semiconductors and camera modules.

Earlier this year, Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 series at the same price as last year’s Galaxy S24 series. The Galaxy S25 (base) starts at $799, the Galaxy S26 Plus at $999, and the Ultra model starts at $1,299. However, it’s not the case with the next-generation Galaxy S26 series, as it is reported to have a high-end chipset as the biggest factor behind the potential price hike.

The report hasn’t mentioned exactly how much costlier the Galaxy S26 series will be compared to the previous generation models. Samsung has yet to release any official statement regarding the price hike of the series; it will be interesting to see whether the report will come true, and how the company will deal with the rising costs of semiconductors and camera modules.
