Following the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung has started the expansion of the November 2025 security update distribution for even more of its S series flagships, as the Galaxy S25 lineup alongside the S23 trio are already getting the latest software update.
Well, Samsung is rolling out a new update, which integrates the November 2025 security update for two of its most renowned premium lineups, the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S23 models.
Essentially, the update is limited to Samsung’s hometown, South Korea, at least for now; it’s expected to be expanded to even more countries over the coming weeks. At the same time, the latest firmware for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra has been identified with the S931NKSS7BYK5, S936NKSS7BYK5, and S938NKSS7BYK5 version numbers, respectively.
On the other hand, the Galaxy S23 models: Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra come with the S911NKSS6EYK3, S916NKSS6EYK3, and S918NKSS6EYK3 version numbers, respectively.

Specifically, Samsung’s November 2025 security update is just a minor patch that, however, doesn’t bring any major features or changes, but it significantly integrates a handful of fixes for all the issues and vulnerabilities and focuses on improving device’s overall security and core functionality for an efficient behavior and provides a secure user experience, while also protecting the phone against external threats or attacks.
Other than that, the update further adds stability and reliability to the entire system’s functionality, and brings certain performance optimizations that eventually leads to a smoother, stable, and optimized experience for the users.
