Galaxy Watch 7 starts receiving the November 2025 Security Update, after the Galaxy Watch 8 Series

Samsung has just started releasing the latest Wear OS 6-based One UI 8 Watch for the Galaxy Watch 6 series, marking the end of the long-running beta series.

Now, the company is beginning to deliver a new software update for the Galaxy Watch 7 models, following the stable update rollout last month.

Recently, Samsung began distributing a new software update for the Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic, which includes the November 2025 security patch. Now, Galaxy Watch 7 owners can rejoice, as the company is already rolling out the November 2025 security update for the Watch 7 units.

Essentially, the latest update, which has been spotted via a user on Samsung’s official Community forums Korea, for the Galaxy Watch 7 has been identified with the BYK1 version number, and it is important to note that it appears like the current update is limited to South Korea, at least for now, which is expected to expand to even more countries or users widely over the coming weeks.

At the same time, the latest firmware, however, doesn’t bring any major features or changes, but it significantly adds stability and reliability to the entire system behavior, and most prominently, it focuses on improving the device’s overall security, core functionality, and performance to provide a secure user experience, while also protecting the device against external threats or attacks.

Other than that, the update is powered by Wear OS 6-based One UI 8 Watch, out of the box, and thus, further enhances the existing features that came alongside the major OS version.

The features include Bedtime Guidance, Vascular Load, Running Coach, and Antioxidant Index, which not only bring an advanced experience for the users, but also help users to have a healthier and well-maintained lifestyle. Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see whether Samsung will expand these features to more older-generation Galaxy Watches.
