
Samsung has filed a new trademark application for a camera sensor called Samsung DeepPix in various regions, including the US, as the report says.
Currently, the Korean tech giant has almost thirty-six ISOCELL sensor models on the market. Now, it is looking forward to expanding the camera sensor range by introducing new models. Meanwhile, a new report from a reliable blog, Galaxy Club, revealed that the company is gearing up to launch a completely new sensor line called DeepPix, for which it has already filed a new trademark.
According to the report, Samsung has filed for trademark protection for the ‘Samsung DeepPix’ trademark in multiple regions, which are as follows –
- US
- Europe
- Argentina


The trademark applications revealed that DeepPix is a complementary metal-oxide semiconductor image sensor (CMOS). However, the report hasn’t revealed that the company will use this sensor on what kind of devices.
Although in the last few months, the company has been criticized for reusing old camera sensor technology on multiple models, including the flagship ones, which has led users to consider a major upgrade in the next generation. It seems that with DeepPix, the company could bring a notable upgrade for the Galaxy camera in the near future.
