Samsung introduces a 60W fast charger, likely designed for the Galaxy S26 Ultra

Samsung launched its new Super Fast charger, holding up the maximum charging speed until now, 60W, which hints that the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra could bring a charging upgrade.

It’s been years since Samsung has been offering the highest 45W charging speed on its flagship smartphones. Now it seems to upgrade its strategy by offering 60W charging to its future flagship models, and fortunately, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is next in the pipeline.

Samsung is supposed to launch the Galaxy S26 series next year, including Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra models. To date, several leaks and reports have already revealed almost all the details regarding the specifications, including the charging support of these models.

A few previous reports suggested that the company is considering offering a battery charging upgrade to the Galaxy S26 Ultra device. Meanwhile, a tipster, Abhishek Yadav, shared a post on X, revealing that Samsung has launched a new 60W Super Fast Charger. This hints that leaked reports regarding the 60W fast charging support for the Galaxy S26 Ultra could come true.

The newly launched charger carries a model number EP-T6010 and has a single  USB Type-C port offering a maximum power output of 60W. It can also go as low as 5mW to save power when it isn’t actively used. It can transmogrify its voltage from 5V to 20V, depending on the power a connected device requires, and is expected to be designed for the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
