Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 might be superior to Apple’s first foldable iPhone

Samsung is supposed to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 8 next year, which is anticipated to feature a bigger display and superior front and rear cameras than Apple’s first foldable phone.

The Korean tech giant has a ritual of launching its latest foldable series each year. For instance, last year it launched the Galaxy Z Fold 6 & Flip 6, and this year it is launching the Galaxy Z Fold 7 & Flip 7. Following the same ritual, it will introduce its eighth-generation foldable phones, Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8, in 2026.

On the rivalry side, Apple is looking forward to launching its first foldable iPhone next year. Meanwhile, a new report from Digital Chat Station revealed that Apple’s upcoming foldable iPhone is expected to feature a 5.25-inch outer display and a 7.58-inch inner folding display, along with a dual rear camera setup.

According to the report, the foldable iPhone will feature a punch-hole front camera on the outer display, while the inner display will integrate an under-display camera. The current Galaxy Z Fold 7 has a 6.5-inch outer screen and an 8-inch inner screen, and features a triple rear camera system, including a 200MP main camera with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera with autofocus, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. This means that the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 8 will feature at least these specifications or be upgraded slightly.

If this report comes true, then Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 will be superior to Apple’s first foldable iPhone.
