Samsung’s Galaxy Buds 4 Pro Just Leaked, and They’re Already Walking Back a Polarizing Design

Samsung’s next flagship earbuds may arrive sooner than expected. Leaked images suggest the Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro could debut alongside the S26 series, and the design tells an interesting story about damage control.
Veteran leaker Evan Blass shared what appears to be an official render of the Buds 4 Pro. The image shows Samsung keeping the stem design introduced with the Buds 3 line, but with noticeable refinements that feel like direct responses to criticism.
The most obvious change is the finish. The glossy stems are gone, replaced by a brushed texture that should reduce fingerprints and feel less cheap. There’s also a new grille near the top of each stem, likely housing either a microphone or ventilation for improved call quality and fit comfort.

What’s missing matters just as much. Samsung has ditched the divisive blade lights that ran down the stems of the Buds 3 Pro. Those lights looked flashy in marketing shots but added little practical value while draining battery. Removing them suggests Samsung is prioritizing longevity over gimmicks this time around.
The earbuds recently passed through the FCC, confirming a US launch is imminent. Firmware leaks from One UI 8.5 hint at a special Apricot color option and a modest battery bump for the Pro model.
If Samsung truly listened to feedback, the Buds 4 Pro could strike a better balance between style and substance. The stem design stays, but everything else feels like a quiet admission that the previous version needed work.
