Samsung is preparing to roll out the fourth beta version of One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S25 lineup, possibly within the next few days. If you’re enrolled in the beta program and own a Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, or Galaxy S25 Ultra, expect the update to land this week.
This release won’t bring flashy new features. Instead, it’s about fixing what’s broken. The third beta introduced bugs that users have been reporting over the past two weeks, and Samsung is now addressing those complaints. The update may also include a newer kernel version, which typically translates to smoother navigation, better performance, and tighter security.
What happens after One UI 8.5 beta 4?
Samsung will likely push out two or three more beta updates before declaring One UI 8.5 stable. The final version isn’t expected until late February or early March 2026, around the time the Galaxy S26 series launches. That timing makes sense. The S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra will ship with One UI 8.5 pre-installed, becoming the first devices to run the software officially.
Samsung’s next flagship lineup will reportedly include exclusive features that won’t be backported to the S25 series or older devices. Whether that’s a hardware limitation or a strategic decision remains unclear, but it suggests One UI 8.5 won’t deliver the same experience across all compatible phones.
For now, S25 owners in beta-supported regions should keep an eye out for the incoming update and prepare for a more stable, if less exciting, build.
