Escape from Tarkov now has weekly leagues. Patch 1.1.5.1 went live on September 15, 2026 and almost the entire notes file is that one system. It sits on top of the first official season, Kord Breach, which started on August 3 with patch 1.1.0.0 — months after the game finally left beta as version 1.0 on November 15, 2025.

A week earlier, patch 1.1.5.0 rebuilt Lighthouse, the map a lot of players had written off. The league patch is the follow-up: less map work, more competition for people already on a seasonal character.

Escape from Tarkov – What’s New

Play one raid as a seasonal character after 1.1.5.1 and the game drops you into a 50-player league with others at the same rank. Battlestate has not spelled out how those brackets are built. From there, almost everything awards league XP: killing PMCs, Scavs, and bosses, finishing tasks, even examining items.

Each league lasts a week. The top 25 rank up. The next 15 stay put. The bottom 10 drop. Rewards go out when the week closes. Regular, non-seasonal accounts are not the target. If you never rolled a season character, this patch is mostly a sideline.

Lighthouse was the bigger mechanical change. Update 1.1.5.0 on September 8 put a BTR on rotating routes across the map, including the peninsula bridge and the water-treatment plant. Mines and mounted guns came off that plant. Open road stretches got more cover. Loot shifted toward Scav caches. A hovercraft stop at the holiday-home pier now links toward Icebreaker. Lightkeeper’s task chain was rebuilt, and XP for farming Wedge, his crew, and Black Division on Icebreaker was cut.

Loot in the new Lighthouse marked room shipped thin. Design manager Sergey Domontovich said the room will get a buff and a better weapon table. It is meant to feel more cultist than the other marked rooms: more guns and ammo, fewer high-value trinkets, occasional weapon cases.

The rest of 2026 is still on Battlestate’s preliminary roadmap. Update 1.2.0.0, due late September or early October, is aimed at PvE: bot spawns, AI, PvE prestige, and a better raid reconnect for everyone. Later patches are slated to bring a new location called End of the Line, a boss named Povodyr, season two, FAMAS and G3, first-person mag-loading animations, gear-preset containers, and a Halloween event. Treat that list as a plan, not a lock.

Arena is on a separate clock. Season three, Morbus Imperium, is next, with a Laboratory Replica map and a return of Blastgang 2.0.

What This Means for Players

Tarkov after 1.0 is trying to give seasonal characters a reason to keep raiding besides stash value. Leagues do that with a small ladder and a weekly reset. Fifty names is not a global leaderboard. It is closer to a ranked pod. Whether that feels like Tarkov or like a battle-pass overlay depends on the rewards, which Battlestate has not fully spelled out in public notes.

Lighthouse is the more immediate test. Removing mines and adding a BTR changes how the map is crossed. If loot stays weak, people will still treat it as a transit map. Domontovich saying the marked room and drop table will move again is the studio admitting 1.1.5.0 was not finished on arrival.

What’s Next

1.2.0.0 is the next named drop, focused on PvE and reconnects. Season two and End of the Line are later on the 2026 board. Arena’s third season is the parallel track. No new wipe date is attached to the league patch itself.
