Nota bene, this list can be updated by Google with time passing.

Why is Netflix not on the list?

Now you may be wondering why such a popular streaming platform, Netflix, is not included on this list. The answer isn’t that clear, but it seems that Google TV’s relations aren’t that nice with Netflix. However, some of Netflix’s content can be accessed using Google TV’s directory lookup feature, but unfortunately, Netflix blocks its original content from being used in this watchlist feature.

However, things weren’t like this from the start because Netflix was available on Google TV previously, but then the streaming platform broke its support from Google TV in the fall of the year 2020. Not only that, but Netflix also ripped off the support for account linking. Hence, Google TV won’t show us any recommendations for Netflix content. Besides, we do get to see Netflix’s advertisements on the Google TV platform.

Where are Google Play Movies and Google Play Store?

Besides Netflix, there is a little confusion with Google’s famous Google Play Movies app; why it isn’t on the list? If you are also wondering, so, let us tell you Google has replaced it with Google TV as Google TV, and these aforementioned apps have a similar function of showing content from various platforms. As this app wasn’t used widely in the past, Google TV now has a better chance to support this function.

The Google Play Store is not visible as an application in Google TV; to use it, you should ask Google Assistant to “open the Play Store.”

Google TV’s Live tab supported apps

  • YouTube TV
  • Sling TV
  • Philo
  • Pluto TV
  • Plex
  • HayStack News
  • Tubi
  • Free Google TV channels

These aforementioned applications can be accessed with the “Live” tab option of Google TV. It includes a large variety of free content as well as paid service content such as YouTube TV and Sling TV.

Regional apps that support Google TV

Let us tell you the above-mentioned list contains apps and services supported in the United States, but the Google TV service works in other regions as well; hence, we are providing a region-wise list here. It may not be completed, but we are still working on it.

In the latest software update it has brought a new function ‘Maintain Slip Mode’ function, it allows users to keep the screen view active even after closing and reopening apps to enhance productivity on large screens.

Along with the introduction of new features, the latest software update will also improve the navigation bar’s visibility, making it easier for users to manage their devices. Additionally, it resolves a problem where the deletion of app data would cause the settings to reset.

If you are using a Good Lock-compatible smartphone, you can now uninstall MultiStar with the latest version via the Galaxy Store, or if you have already installed the MultiStar application, you can update it through the Galaxy Store.
