Galaxy Z Fold 3, Flip 3, Note 20, S21 and S20 FE received June 2023 security update on Verizon carrier in the US

In the last couple of weeks, Samsung has rolled out the June 2023 security update to many Galaxy devices; however, still, many users haven’t got the update in several countries because of server limitation, and in the US, there is carriers restriction problem, due to this many locked devices users are don’t get the update yet. But now Verizon has rolled out the update to many devices.

Verizon has now released June 2023 to many Galaxy devices, including Galaxy Z Fold 3, Z Flip 3, Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy S21 series, and Galaxy S20 FE. The latest update doesn’t bring any new features to the device; it only brings security enhancement patches. 

Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3

Verizon has released the June 2023 security update to two more foldable, including Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip3. The latest update can be identified by the firmware version numbers F926USQU3FWF2 and .F711USQU4FWF2, respectively. Earlier, Verizon has already released the same update to Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 smartphones.

Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy S20 FE, and Galaxy S21 FE

Earlier, Verizon updated only one smartphone in the Galaxy S series, i.e., Galaxy S22. Now it has expanded it to more devices, including the Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy S21 FE, and Galaxy S20 FE. The latest update for Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra devices is rolling out in these version numbers G991USQU7EWE5, G996USQU7EWE5, and G998USQU7EWE5 sequentially, While the Fan edition devices of Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S20 are getting the same update with these firmware versions G990USQU7EWE and G781VSQU9HWE1 respectively.

Galaxy Note 20 series

Verizon has rolled out the June 2023 security update to the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra devices with firmware versions N981USQU4HWF1 and N986USQU4HWF1. Samsung has updated this device in most parts of the world. The update is also available for the unlocked variant of Galaxy Note 20 devices.

If you are on any of the smartphones mentioned above in the US, you should receive a notification of the latest update. Once you get the notification, it means your device is now ready to be updated. To do so, you can directly tap on the notification, which will redirect you to the software update menu. Or you can also manually go there from the system settings.

Samsung Galaxy S24 receives May 2024 security patch in Australia

Samsung has introduced the May 2024 security patch to the Galaxy device, initiating with the Galaxy S24 devices; however, the update hasn’t fully reached all the units available worldwide, but the company is expanding it rapidly to the remaining ones. Now,  with the latest development, the company has started rolling out the update in the Australian region.

The Australian units of the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra are getting new updates with the firmware version numbers S921BXXS2AXD5, S926BXXS2AXD5, and S928BXXS2AXD5 sequentially.

The latest update for the Galaxy S24 series has only brought some security-related enhancements; you may not notice any visual effect on your device. However, if you have been facing any issues since updating the March software update, you should check out the latest update as it may provide fixes.

According to the official documentation, the May 2024 security patch will address more than 50 different system variabilities. More specifically, Google has introduced 31 fixes that will improve the functioning of the Android ecosystem; meanwhile, Samsung has also added 25 fixes for Galaxy devices exclusively.

Galaxy S24 users can now easily update the device to the May 2024 update by going to the software update menu manually in system settings. As the company has recently initiated the update in Australia, it is possible to take time to reach every unit, so keep patience.

Breaking: Samsung Galaxy A73 gets One UI 6.1 Update

Samsung has a large number of Galaxy devices that are eligible to get the One UI 6.1 update, and to fulfill the update requirement, the company is constantly adding new devices to the list day by day. Today, a new Galaxy A series member, the Galaxy A73, has grabbed the update. 

Notably, the One UI 6.1 update for the Galaxy A73 was spotted in Malaysia with the firmware version number A736BXXU7EXDC. The latest update for the Galaxy A73 doesn’t bring a new security patch as of May 2024. The update brought a lot of new features, so it comes with a massive software package of 2.6 GB.

For the Galaxy A73 device, Samsung hasn’t brought any Galaxy AI feature, but the latest update will surely bring some significant changes that will improve the overall device experience. 

In a nutshell, the update has brought new enhancements for the gallery, bringing new features under the connect and sharing functionalities and many more customization options under the different functions.

If you are using the Galaxy A73 5G device in Malaysia, you can now update the device to the latest version by simply going to the software update menu through the system settings. But if you don’t find the update on your device yet, then you have to wait for some time until it is fully distributed to all units.

Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ get One UI 6.1 update in the US

Recently, Samsung has started releasing the One UI 6.1 to Galaxy Tab S9 FE series devices. Initially, the update for these devices was spotted in South Korea and some parts of Europe, but now, with the gradual expansion, the company is now serving the update for the devices belonging to the US.

Notably, the Wi-Fi variants of the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ devices are getting the latest major update with the firmware version numbers X510XXU3BXE1 and X610XXU3BXE1, respectively. It is worth noticing that the update is still using the April 2024 security patch for the devices. It is expected that the 5G variant of the device will get the latest update in the next few days.
