For the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 5 series, Samsung has released the One UI 5 Watch OS upgrade. On Google’s Wear OS 4.0, Android 13 is featured. Three major features—sleep management, fitness functions, and user safety—are the focus of the Galaxy Watch’s newest software updates. The firm announced that they will soon bring the One UI 5 Watch upgrade for the older Galaxy smartwatches that were particularly released in the years 2021 and 2022 back in July.

The image reveals that the planned date for the release of the One UI Watch 5 is the 35th week of the current calendar year, which begins today. So we can expect a launch soon. Now coming to what the update brings in, with its smart sleep score factors, sleep consistency, and sleep animal symbols, the enhanced sleep management tool provides users with an insightful understanding of sleep habits.
Samsung One UI 6.0 Beta 2 update is likely to be delayed by a few more days
Personalized heart-rate zones and ideal running intensities can help users achieve their fitness objectives. The Buds controller tile now comes with a 360 music controller, and the watch face and tile browser have an alternate vertical arrangement with the newer update. Other features include the fact that watch faces may cycle through the images stored or the user’s story. More than 20 timers will be supported with more call controls and app folders.
Last week, Samsung initiated the May 2024 security patch with the Galaxy S24 series devices. Now, it has started expanding the update to more devices, like the Galaxy S22 series.
Notably, the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra devices are getting a May 2024 security patch with the firmware version numbers S901BXXSAEXE3, S906BXXSAEXE3, and S908BXXSAEXE3, respectively. As of writing, the update has been spotted in the European regions and is expected to be available in more regions in the next few days.
The May 2024 security patch for Galaxy S22 devices doesn’t bring any new features or changes, but it will surely bring some enhancements that will strengthen the security mechanisms of the Galaxy devices, and therefore it is coming in a small software package of 270.07 MB. Along with this, it may also bring some fixes for the issues that appeared in previous software updates.
