Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 Starts Receiving a New Software Update in South Korea

Samsung consistently holds the top spot as an exceptional smartphone manufacturer when it comes to delivering security updates to its Galaxy phones. However, the company’s treatment of its Galaxy watches when it comes to offering updates is unfair. Finally, the company has started rolling out the new security update for owners of the Galaxy Watch 7.

Right after a long wait of 4 months, Galaxy Watch 7 owners started receiving the new software update that significantly integrates the November 2024 security patch.

With the June security patch being the last update, the newer software update for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 (Bluetooth models) can be identified with the AXK6 version number. The update packs stability for the overall system performance that allows users to have a stable yet smooth experience.

Alternatively, the new firmware update incorporates several other pertinent bug fixes and enhancements to provide users with efficient performance. In addition to integrating the November 2024 security patch, the update tends to deliver much more secure performance by infusing certain improvements to the overall functionality while also keeping the device protected from external harms.

Lastly, the latest update for the Galaxy Watch 7 owners is already going live in Samsung’s home country, South Korea, and it will follow Galaxy Watch Ultra units shortly.

While the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra debuted with the Wear OS 5-based One UI 6 Watch version, it’s expected that the company will soon start distributing the stable version to non-beta users of the Galaxy Watch 6 series.
