
Samsung is continuously delivering the February 2025 security update for all the eligible Galaxy devices, including flagship S series, foldables and mid-tier devices. Now, the company’s 2021 flagships, S21, S21+ and S21 Ultra units are receiving the security patch for the first time in any country.
As of now, a lot of devices have been updated with the latest patch so far; meanwhile, the Galaxy S21 series joins the list as the recent February 2025 security update was spotted in European countries, including Germany.
Android 14-based February update for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra has been recognized with the G991BXXSEGYA2, G996BXXSEGYA2 and G998BXXSEGYA2 build numbers.
While security updates are small and don’t introduce any important features or changes, they are the most significant factor in protecting the device’s overall security and improving core functionality. It integrates various fixes that were addressed in the previous versions which aims to offer a more safe and secure user experience, while also protecting the device against external threats and attacks.
On the other hand, the software further adds stability for overall system behavior and functionality and brings certain performance by applying all the latest patches in order to provide a smooth and optimized experience to the users. Also, the February update for Galaxy S21 lineup is currently live in Europe, it will follow other major regions soon.
