Galaxy S21 FE units start receiving February 2025 security updates in Asia

As we are moving towards the end of this month, Samsung seems to be fastening its speed in updating its Galaxy devices with the February 2025 security update

Since the majority of the devices have been updated with the latest patch, the company is now delivering the software for the Galaxy S21 FE devices in several Asian countries. 

The update for the Galaxy S21 FE comes with the G990EXXSCFYB3 build number and is available in a few Asian countries, including Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines. Also, the update will follow other eligible regions shortly. 

While the security updates are merely bug fixing patches, simultaneously, the February update; however, doesn’t bring any major features and changes, it significantly improves the overall device’s security and core functionality. It integrates plenty of fixes for all the security vulnerabilities that were addressed in previous versions in order to offer a more safe and secure user experience, while also protecting the device against potential threats. 

Alternatively, the update further adds stability to the overall system behavior, bringing several performance optimizations that lead to smooth and optimized functionality. Moreover, Samsung has already started distributing the February update for the Galaxy S21 FE owners, thus they can download the latest version on their device when available.
