Galaxy S26 Ultra Sticks to Punch-Hole Camera, No Under-Display

Samsung is supposed to debut the next-generation flagship Galaxy S26 series earlier next year, which is almost confirmed to feature the punch hole camera as its predecessor.

Recently, the Korean tech giant has launched the Galaxy S25 series and is gearing up to debut the Galaxy S25 Edge anytime soon, and all of these devices feature punch-hole cameras. Since the company launched the Galaxy S10 series, it has offered a punch-hole camera for selfies.

A few days back it was leaked that the Korean tech giant plans to place a UDC (Display Camera) in the Galaxy S26 Ultra, although it doesn’t seem to be the real case anymore since a new report suggests otherwise.

A tipster, PandaFlash, on X, shared a text post claiming that it’s 100% confirmed all the prototypes of the Galaxy S26 Ultra still have the punch-hole camera with the same size as the current latest Galaxy S25 Ultra.

However, there’s no official statement regarding this news yet, but it could be possible that the company will still go with its ritual punch-hole camera. The reason behind going with the ritual camera technology is to avoid quality concerns.

Noticeably, the UDC technology is not an exclusive thing for the Korean tech giant, as it already offered this to its older foldable smartphones, initially starting from the Galaxy Z Fold 3 up to the current generation Galaxy Z Fold 6. Previously it was also rumored that the Galaxy S26 Ultra could support 65W charging support.
