One UI 8 Watch test build now emerged on Galaxy Watch 6 Classic

Samsung is already developing the next major OS for its Galaxy watches, One UI 8 Watch, which is rumoured to arrive with the upcoming Galaxy Watch 8 series. A couple of days ago, reports claimed that Samsung is testing One UI 8 Watch on Galaxy Watch 8, while now, a fresh report highlights that the upcoming version is being tested for Galaxy Watch 6 series.
Indeed Samsung has been internally testing the One UI 8 Watch for the Galaxy Watch 8 lineup that carried the build number, ZYF6; meanwhile, a new report recently emerged (via Alfaturk on X).
The user claimed that a fresh firmware for the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic has appeared online that carries the build number, R960XXU1CYF6 and it looks like Samsung has begun testing the upcoming One UI 8 Watch for the Watch 6 Classic models.

However, currently, there are no signs of the same build being tested on the Galaxy Watch 6 units but it is expected that Samsung is testing the same build for the standard models as well. Well, the One UI 8 Watch will run Google’s Wear OS 6 on top, Google has already confirmed that Wear OS 6 will hit Samsung Galaxy watches later this year.
Beyond this, Samsung’s One UI 8 Watch is rumoured to introduce some exciting features for Galaxy watches, including it resemble Wear OS 6’s Material 3 Expressive design, to add a new charging animation, to integrate Antioxidant Index feature, new app tiles, to include Now Bar and Now Brief, enhance watch faces and more.
Since Samsung is supposed to introduce its next generation wearables, the Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic during the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked proceedings at hence it’s clear that the watch community will witness One UI 8 Watch features and excellence with the launch of Watch 8 lineup
