Samsung’s Work on Exynos 2600 Is Moving Full Steam Ahead

Samsung is reported to use an in-house Exynos 2600 chipset to power the next-generation Galaxy S26, which is now blowing up in the news with fresh corrections to previously leaked Geekbench scores.

A few hours back, a tipster, @OreXda, on X, shared a post revealing the key details of the Exynos 2600 chipset, according to which it is based on the 2nm process, including two powerful Cortex-X cores and six Cortex-A cores. Reportedly, in early test results on Geekbench, the single-core of the chipset could score 2400, and the multi-core score 9400.

According to the previous benchmark scores, the chipset could be about 20% faster in single-core and 15% faster in multi-core performance as compared to its predecessor, the Exynos 2400.

Noticeably, the same tipster shared a new post with revised data claiming that the earlier numbers were based on outdated assumptions about Samsung Foundry’s 2nm yield. According to the updated Geekbench 6 figures, the single-core of the Exynos 2600 chipset scored 2950, whereas the multi-core scored 10,200. These scores are far better than previously leaked. The tipster also mentioned that the earlier estimates were based on a 10% mass production yield, which severely underestimates the chip’s potential.

The new Exynos 2600 benchmark scores narrow the gap significantly between the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 and Dimensity 9500’s scores, since these chipsets may still be posting higher benchmark scores, nearly 4,000 single-core and 11,000 multi-core.

However, Samsung has yet to reveal the official details regarding its next flagship Exynos 2600 chipset. But if these scores come true, then it will be efficient for the Galaxy S26 series to deliver high-end performance.
