Samsung Hints Galaxy S26+ Might Be Missing from Upcoming Lineup

Samsung has given a hint, though not openly, that the Galaxy S26 Plus won’t be a part of the Galaxy S26 series, as the report says.
The Korean tech giant is gearing up for the next-generation Galaxy S26 series to launch in early 2026. Usually, the company introduces three models under the Galaxy S series, including Base, Plus, and Ultra. However, it’s not the case for the upcoming Galaxy S26 lineup, as it’s reported to launch with rebranding.
A recent report revealed that Samsung is looking forward to introducing, as usual, three models under its upcoming flagship series, but with a major rebranding: Galaxy S26 Pro, Galaxy S26 Edge, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. This means that the base model will be called Pro, and the Plus variant will be replaced with Edge.
Several times, it’s been reported that Samsung will replace the Plus variant with the Edge in the upcoming series, due to the lower sales rate of the Plus model in the last few years. Meanwhile, a new report from ETNews revealed that Samsung is looking forward to bringing changes to the Galaxy S series for next year.
According to the report, Samsung has requested its suppliers to prepare for the mass production of components needed for the Galaxy S26 Edge and also said that there won’t be a Galaxy S26+ next year.
The key reason behind this replacement is the low sales of the Plus model for the past few years; for instance, during the pre-order program of the Galaxy S25 series, the Galaxy S25+ accounted for just 22% of pre-orders, whereas the base and ultra variants accounted for 52% & 26% of pre-orders, respectively.
