One UI 8 Update Delivers New Vivid Mode to Samsung Galaxy Users

Samsung Galaxy users, get ready to take more appealing and distinct pictures with One UI 8, as it is bringing the “Vivid” photo effect to Galaxy phones.
Samsung is now actively working on expanding the Android 16-based One UI 8 beta program to more devices months after the Galaxy S25 series, as it recently rolled out the first beta update for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6. It also announced the release of the beta update for a few Galaxy A-series devices.
It’s already clear that the upcoming One UI 8 will upgrade the overall system software of the Galaxy devices to deliver flawless and seamless performance for an enhanced user experience. Recently, it was reported that the stable One UI 8 will bring a major upgrade to the Photo Watermark feature for Galaxy devices.
Meanwhile, now, a reliable tipster, Ice Universe, shared a post on X, revealing that the One UI 8 will bring a new Vivid mode photo effect to Galaxy devices. Noticeably, the effect only reflects in pictures that are taken with the watermark enabled.

According to the post, the tipster spotted an application of vivid mode on a photo captured using a watermark in One UI 8, which fills vibrant colors into the photo. On comparing the watermarked image to the regular image, it seems that the photo with the One UI 8 watermark enabled applies a Vivid mode.
However, the feature hasn’t rolled out yet for the general users, and the tipster managed to get early access to this upcoming addition of One UI 8. It will be interesting to see how much this new Vivid mode will enhance users’ capturing experience.
