Apple May Copy Galaxy Z Fold 7 Design for First Foldable iPhone

Samsung’s biggest rival, Apple, is now gearing up to bring its first foldable iPhone, for which it could adopt three things from Galaxy foldables.
Last month at the Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung launched its seventh-generation foldable phones, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. On the other side, Apple is now gearing up to introduce its first foldable iPhone to the market.
A new report from Bloomberg revealed that Apple’s first foldable iPhone, which is codenamed V68, will look majorly like Samsung’s newly launched Galaxy Z Fold 7 due to its overall form factor. Reportedly, Apple is considering adopting Samsung’s idea of selfie camera placement, and more.
If the report is to be believed, the first foldable iPhone will have two touchscreen displays, including a cover screen and an internal foldable screen; two selfie cameras, one in each of its screens; a touch ID; and a side-mounted capacitive fingerprint reader. Noticeably, all of these are what Samsung has been offering these specs to its foldable phones for so many years.
It seems that Apple is adopting a form factor that Samsung has perfected over the years. According to the previous reports, the next-generation Galaxy Z Fold 8 could cost $200 less than Apple’s first foldable iPhone. It’s been reportedthat Samsung Display will provide foldable OLED panels for the foldable iPhone, which is expected to launch sometime in the second half of 2026.
