Samsung is looking towards continuing with the expansion of the ongoing September 2025 security patch for more eligible Galaxy devices. The company initiated the rollout with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 devices in the home country, South Korea, and now, the devices are receiving the update in the US.
The September 2025 security update for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 reaches the US and is now available for the Verizon carrier-locked devices, carrying the version numbers F966USQU4AYI1 and F766USQU4AYI1, respectively. Also, the update will be expanded to more units across the country over the coming days.
Meanwhile, the latest security patch doesn’t look minor, but apparently Samsung has added a host of significant bug fixes and improvements within the September patch.
Basically, the update, however, doesn’t bring any major features or changes; rather, it focuses on improving the device’s overall security and core functionality. It packs a series of bug fixes that were addressed in the earlier version in order to provide a more secure user experience, while also protecting the device against potential threats.
At the same time, the previous update has added the ability to check stocks via the Now Bar, thanks to the integration of Google Finance, but this time, the update looks minor.
Other than that, the update further adds stability and reliability to the entire system behavior and brings certain optimizations for the overall performance that eventually offer a smoother, more stable, and more optimized functionality to the users.
Well, so far, Samsung has distributed the September patch for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 models alongside the Galaxy S23 series, and it’s just the beginning, as plenty of Galaxy devices will follow the update over the period of time.
