Leaked One UI 8.5 firmware suggests Galaxy S25 Ultra to get new wallpapers

Samsung is already working on its next software iteration, One UI 8.5, which is supposed to debut with the upcoming Galaxy S26 series, out of the box. Meanwhile, a new leaked firmware for the Galaxy S25 Ultra suggests the addition of more new wallpapers.

Basically, a couple of weeks ago, it was reported that following the Galaxy S26 family, Samsung has started testing the latest One UI 8.5 build for the Galaxy S25 Ultra (meaning the S25 series), and currently, a new leak significantly points towards the inclusion of two new wallpapers.

Specifically, according to Sammobile via X, the latest leaked One UI 8.5 firmware for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, carrying a fresh S938BXXU6CYJB build suggests that Samsung is supposed to add two new animated wallpapers, where the first one looks like a basketball court which shows an interactive animation of a ball dropping on the ground and rolls around, when used on the phone’s lock screen.

At the same time, the next wallpaper is of an archway that consists of stairs moving upwards. Noticeably, the image in the wallpaper moves in the opposite direction when tilting the phone, which offers a stunning parallax effect on the lock screen, and the animations are smarter than seen in any other animated wallpapers on the Galaxy devices.

Well, it is important to note that currently, the leaked One UI 8.5 firmware for the Galaxy S25 has been spotted on test servers, and it is not clear whether Samsung wishes to hold to the same build number when the final version is released. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen whether these wallpapers will make their way to the official release.
