Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 could arrive with a battery upgrade

Samsung is yet to launch the Galaxy Tri-Fold device; meanwhile, the next-generation Galaxy Z Fold 8 leaks have already started surfacing online, revealing that it could have a 5,000mAh battery.

Currently, the Korean tech giant is actively gearing up to launch its multi-folding Galaxy Tri-Fold later this week during the APEC 2025 summit in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea, from October 31 to November 1. Recently, its first official look also surfaced online.

A few months back, the company launched the seventh-generation foldable devices: Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Now, to continue the foldable lineup, it is supposed to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8 next year in early Q3.

Meanwhile, a new report from DealSite claims that Samsung is considering offering a notable battery upgrade with the Galaxy Z Fold 8. According to the report, the next-generation Galaxy Z Fold 8 could have a 5,000mAh battery.

If the report comes true, then it would be a major battery upgrade compared to the current Galaxy Z Fold 7, as it has a 4,400mAh battery. According to previous reports, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 might feature a familiar carbon fiber backplate, a crease-free foldable screen, and could cost $200 less than Apple’s first foldable iPhone, and more. However, it is too early to discuss the Galaxy Z Fold 8 specifications and features; it remains to be seen whether the leaked details will come into existence.
