Well, with the courtesy of the latest Android 16-based One UI 8 update, Samsung has upgraded the functionality of Now Bar, a feature, which is a more streamlined notification system on the lock screen and AOD that is designed to provide a quick sneak peek at the key details such as news, sports, stocks, and other compatible third-party apps, without unlocking the phone.

Meanwhile, a new post shared by a Reddit user significantly offers good news to the entire community. The users posted a few screenshots that eventually suggest that Samsung’s Now Bar has just gained access for food delivery apps.

Essentially, the Now Bar shows the estimated timing of arrival and name of the restaurant, while tapping on it elaborates as “Preparing your order”.

Other than that, it’s currently not clear whether this behavior is only for the Zomato app, or even if more Food delivery apps will be compatible with One UI 8’s Now bar. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen whether Samsung pushes more third-party apps, like transportation apps such as Rapido or OLA Cabs, will be added within the Now Bar or not.
