Samsung to expand Galaxy A7x series by debuting Galaxy A77

Samsung is working on an unexpected mid-range smartphone called the Galaxy A77, as it has appeared on Geekbench certification, powered by a new Exynos processor.

The company launched the last device in this series, called the Galaxy A73, in 2022. Since it has been three years, Galaxy A7x series fans were completely convinced that the company had discontinued the line; however, that’s no longer the case.

The Korean tech giant is now looking forward to expanding its older Galaxy A7x series by introducing a new model, which is supposed to be called the Galaxy A77. A tipster, Abhishek Yadav, shared a post on X, revealing that the device has now already been listed on Geekbench certification with the dedicated model number SM-A776B, showing the scores and hinting at the new Exynos chip

According to the listing, the device’s Single-Core score was 1,673, and its Multi-Core score was 5,597. Apart from the scores, the listing also revealed that Samsung will power the device with the new Exynos processor with a 10-core CPU.

The device is integrated with the Xclipse 940 GPU, which is the same graphics chip used in the company’s flagship Exynos 2400 and 2400e chipsets. It will run Android 16 out of the box and will be available in an 8 GB RAM variant.

This is the first report regarding the device’s existence, but it’s expected that more details will surface online soon.
