Samsung expands the December 2025 Security Update for Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4
Samsung has begun delivering the latest December 2025 security update to a select group of Galaxy devices. With that said, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 models join the list, as the company is rolling out the update to these Galaxy foldables.
Basically, Samsung is reaching out to even more Galaxy devices, thus growing the list. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 have been spotted getting the update; however, it’s currently limited to Samsung’s home country, South Korea, and it is expected to expand to even more countries over the coming weeks.
Specifically, the December 2025 security update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4 has been identified with the F936NKSS6IYL1 and F721NKSS6IYL1 version numbers, respectively.
At the same time, the latest update is minor and is a significant part of Samsung’s monthly security maintenance release. It packs a handful of fixes for all the security vulnerabilities and focuses on improving the device’s overall security, core functionality, and efficiency to provide a secure user experience, while also protecting the device against external threats.
In addition to that, the update further brings several performance optimizations and adds stability to the entire system behavior that eventually leads to a smoother, stable, and optimized experience for the users.
Samsung is already rolling out the update for all eligible Galaxy devices gradually, and over time, it will be expanded to more Galaxy phones and tablets in the coming weeks.
