One UI 5.0 Beta Available For Galaxy S20, S20+ And S20 Ultra In South Korea

Samsung has shown particular attention in recent years in the area of software support for its smartphones, with particular regard to its top of the range.

After seeing the release of the first betas of Android 13 for its Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S21, and learning about its plans for the release of Android 13 stable, interesting details come even for ow years old flagship like the Galaxy S20.

One UI 5.0 Beta Galaxy S20

Samsung Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra: The South Korean manufacturer has in fact started releasing the first beta of Android 13 and One UI 5.0 in home country. The test program is therefore also open for 2020 flagships and a quick release of the stable version is expected.

According to what has just been reported by several users on the official Samsung forum of South Korea, the company would have started the beta program of the One UI 5.0 based on Android 13 also for Galaxy S2o series.

One UI 5.0 Beta Features

The new features of the One UI 5.0 beta for the Galaxy S21 should be the same as those that reached the Galaxy S22 series. The system hasn’t been upset by Samsung either (exactly as in the Pixels), but we still find several changes: among them we have more customization possibilities with an expanded set of color options to change the UI (up to 16 preset themes and 12 other options for home screen, icons and quick panels), the ability to stack widgets, a simplified process for editing sounds and vibration,

In addition, improvements are introduced for the camera, security (with a renewed dashboard), accessibility, Samsung DeX, multitasking gestures, and more. We are sure that many other changes will come in the course of the beta program, which of course we will not fail to delve into.

How to install Android 13 beta on Samsung Galaxy S20

The beta testing program is currently open only for the South Korean market, but is expected to arrive in other countries (including US) within a few hours or days (China, Germany, India, Poland, and the UK).

In case you follow us from South Korea or other countries where the test program has been opened in the meantime, please know that to download Android 13 beta you must register through the Samsung Members app. Next, all you have to do is look for the update via OTA by following the usual ‘Settings > Software Updates > Download and Install’.
