One UI 5.0 released for European units of Galaxy Tab Active 3

After releasing One UI 5.0 for rugged smartphones, including Galaxy Xcover5 and Xcover 6 pro, Samsung has now rolled out the Android 13 update for another rugged device, but this time for a Tablet, known as Galaxy Tab Active 3.

Right now, the One UI 5.0 update is available in Switzerland; users who own the Galaxy Tab Active 3 device can identify the latest update by its build number T575XXU3EVK7. It also includes the November 2022 security patch. We hope that the update will be available in other European countries soon.

The Galaxy Tab Active 3 device owners should download the Android 13 update because it comes with several improvements within the software, like it brings a revamped UI as well as the working user interface is also smooth. Samsung has already introduced the April 2024 security patch update to many Galaxy A series devices, including the Galaxy A54. Yes, you read it right. The Korean giant has already rolled out the April 2024 security patch for the Galaxy A54 smartphone, but it was limited to the US, and now it has started distributing the update to European units.

Users who own the Galaxy A54 in Europe can identify the latest update by the firmware version number A546BXXS7BXD1. The update is coming in a software package of 250 MB, which indicates that it will not provide any significant changes for the devices.

Going to the changelog, it hasn’t provided any clear information on what it will fix or improve; it only says the device’s stability will improve and also addresses some bug fixes. Along with this, it may add some new features or improve the exciting ones; this doesn’t show us a clear image, but with the official documentation, Samsung has shared some details about the April 2024 security patch.

According to the official Samsung page, there are more than 40 fixes introduced to address different security-related vulnerabilities. Google has included 27 fixes that resolve the security-related issues found in the Android OS. Meanwhile, Samsung has added 17 more fixes that will improve the overall security of the Galaxy devices.

In the last few days, Samsung has expanded the April 2024 security patch update to many Galaxy devices, but, due to the carrier network limitation, the update has reached only the locked variants of the devices. Fortunately, some unlocked Galaxy devices also received a new update.

Notably, Samsung has rolled out the April 2024 security patch to multiple unlocked Galaxy devices, such as the Galaxy S22, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Galaxy Z Flip 3. Users who own the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra can identify the update by the firmware version numbers S901U1UES4DXD1, S906U1UES4DXD1, and S908U1UES4DXD1 sequentially. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 is getting an update with the firmware version number F721U1UES4EXD1.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 are getting new updates with the firmware version numbers F926U1UES5HXD1 and F711U1UES6HXD1, respectively. If you are using any of the mentioned devices, you should start getting notifications about the update.

According to the official documentation, the April 2024 security patch could bring more than 40 fixes. In detail, Google has added 27 fixes, and along with this, there are 17 more fixes that are included by Samsung, which exclusively provides support for Galaxy devices.
