Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update for Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 landed in Australia

A week before Google’s stable Android 13 came to the market, Samsung started its own UI 5.0 beta program, in which the company released the beta update to its several Galaxy devices, and after successful testing of the beta program, the Korean giant released the stable One UI 5.0 update initially for Galaxy S22 devices, then gradually the company has distributed the Android 13 update to other Galaxy devices including Galaxy S series devices, Galaxy Z series devices and most of the mid-range phones also got the update as well.

But as usual, Samsung is gradually distributing the update to the Galaxy devices for different regions, and to keep up the distribution at the same pace now, the company has released the Android 13 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 in Australia.

The One UI 5.0 update carries different firmware version numbers for each device; for Galaxy Z Fold 4 device comes with F936BXXU1BVK3, while the Galaxy Z Flip 4 has F721BXXU1BVK3. Notably, the update doesn’t bring the support of the December 2022 security update; it still uses the November 2022 security patch.

According to Samsung’s official changelog, the One UI 5.0 includes several new enhancements regarding the user interface; some new features are added under inbuilt apps, including a camera, Gallery, photo and video editor, and more. The new One UI update also includes new interesting customization tools which can be easily accessible through the lock screen. Additionally, it also includes some improvements for the existing features, including RAM Plus, Auto optimization, SOS, and more.

Additionally, the update also includes several new privacy and security features; you can now edit medical info, and it also adds a safety feature in the Samsung Internet, which works as a detecting tool that identifies suspicious sites and sends an alert, so users can easily browse on the internet.

Verizon rolls out March 2024 security patch for Galaxy A53 in the US

Last week, Samsung rolled out the March 2024 security patch for the Galaxy A53 devices in South Korea. Now, as part of the expansion, the device has started getting the same update in the US. It is worth noticing that the Korean giant is constantly providing updates for eligible Galaxy devices.

Carrier-locked Galaxy A53 started getting the March 2024 security patch

Samsung has rolled out the March 2024 security patch update for the carrier-locked Galaxy A53 devices; more specifically, the update is now available on the Verizon network with the firmware version number A536VSQSADXC1. More carriers should make it available in the coming days. Apart from the locked versions, Samsung could also release an update for unlocked variants in the next few days.

As per the official page of Verizon, the latest update provides the latest Android security patch for the device, which means the update will only provide some security-related enhancements, while no innovation will be available for the device.

If we talk about the details of the March 2024 update, according to the official documentation, the latest update comes with more than 40 fixes, with 37 patches added by Google and another 9 fixes added by Samsung. With all these fixes, users will get a more protective environment.

If you are using the Galaxy A53 device in the US, you should start getting new notifications related to the availability of the update. To update the device, you just need to tap on the notification, which will redirect you to the software update menu. Here,  tap on the download and install option. Samsung provides March 2024 security patch to the European units of Galaxy S22 Series

Samsung launched the Galaxy S22 devices back in 2022; the devices came with Android 12, and later they received two more major updates, Android 13 and Android 14, sequentially. The device has also received some security patch updates, and now, moving forward, the company has rolled out the March 2024 security patch update.

The Galaxy S22 started receiving the March 2024 security patch update in Europe. Users who own the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra have the firmware version numbers S901BXXS7DXBD, S906BXXS7DXBD, and S908BXXS7DXBD, respectively. The latest update brings some security-related enhancements for the devices. The update has already reached the US and will gradually expand to all countries worldwide.

Going into details, the March 2024 security patch will bring more than 40 fixes. Google has added and introduced 37 patches that address issues related to Android OS, while nine other patches are introduced by Samsung, which exclusively provide fixes for Samsung Galaxy devices.

Moreover, the latest update could also provide some internal improvements for the device, which can resolve several issues like freezing or crashing of apps, so if you are also the one who is facing the same issue, then you should also update the device to the latest version.

Samsung Galaxy A14 5G started getting the March 2024 security update

Samsung has a large number of Galaxy devices in its different lineups, but the company still comfortably introduces new updates to almost every device at the ideal time. For example, if  we talk about the present update session, which is running with the March 2024 security patch, it is already distributed to almost all high-end devices. Now, it has started rolling out the update for midrange devices, like the Galaxy A14 5G.

Samsung has rolled out the March 202 security patch update for the Galaxy A14 5G in India. It carries the firmware version number A146BXXS3CXC2. The latest update doesn’t bring any new features or significant improvements for the devices.

Going into details, the March 2024 security patch is one of the maintenance updates that brings a total of 46 patches that address different security vulnerabilities; more specifically, there are 37 fixes introduced by Google that address the issues found in Android devices. Along with this, there are additionally nine more patches introduced by Samsung that address the issues found in Samsung devices.

Along with the internal fixes, the update for the Galaxy A14 5G could also bring some more fixes that will enhance the overall performance and stability of the devices.
