Samsung updates Galaxy A13 to Android 13 in several European countries

For the past few days, Samsung has rolled out an Android 13 update for the budget phone. Recently the company has served the One UI 5.0 update for the Galaxy F23 smartphone, now adding one more device to the latest Android OS list. The Korean giant has started distributing the test of Android 13 for Galaxy A13 European users.

Currently, the Galaxy A13 device is receiving the update in several Asian and European countries, including Armenia, Azerbaijan, Croatia, France, Georgia, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Kazakhstan, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, and the UK. However, the update will be available for more countries in the coming days.

Users who own the Galaxy A13 device can identify the latest update by its build number A135FXXU2BVL2. As per Samsung documentation information, the device is listed under the quarterly updates, which means the device is eligible for the four security updates per year, but currently, the Galaxy A13 device is receiving the November 2022 security update with the latest update.

One UI Core 5.0 rolls out for Galaxy A13 in Canada

US-locked Galaxy Note 20 units get April 2024 security patch on more carriers

Samsung is known for its software update policy, where it timely provides updates for Galaxy devices. Currently, the company is busy expanding the April 2024 security patch to eligible devices, now with the latest development of the locked variants of the Galaxy Note 20 series.

Notably, the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra have already received the update on the Verizon network. Now, with the latest development, it is available on more carriers, including Comcast, T-Mobile, and Xfinity Mobile. The firmware version number N98*USQS6HXD1 is updating these devices.

For your information, the April 2024 update is part of Google’s Android security maintenance program, which aims to enhance the overall security of the devices. In a nutshell, the latest software will address more than 40 fixes, where Google has added 27 fixes and Samsung has added 17 more fixes exclusively for Galaxy devices.

Samsung has recently introduced the April 2024 security patch to several units of the Galaxy Note 20 series available in some regions, including the US and Europe. Now, with the latest development, the company has started rolling out the latest security patch update for the Canadian units of Galaxy Note 20 series devices.

Notably, the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in Canada are getting April 2024 security updates with the firmware version numbers N981WVLS6HXD1 and N986WVLS6HXD1, respectively. The latest update will improve the security of the devices.

For your information, the April 2024 update brings new security-related enhancements; as per the documentation, there are more than 40 fixes introduced. Google has included 27 fixes that will fix the issues found in the Android OS. Along with this, Samsung has also added 17 patches that will fix the issues found in Galaxy devices exclusively.
