Galaxy S21 getting the January 2023 security update in Germany

Samsung is rolling out the January 2023 update for Galaxy S21 series devices. According to the information, these devices initially grabbed the update in Switzerland. The Korean giant has now expanded the new security update to Germany.

January 2023 update for Galaxy S21 in Germany

According to the information, the update is currently available in Germany; it brings the first security update for the year in the form of a January 2023 security patch; the latest update can be identified by the build number G991BXXS5DVL3, G996BXXS5DVL3 and G998BXXS5DVL3 Galaxy S21 general, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 ultra respectively.

The January 2023 update includes 50+ patches added by Google and Samsung for the Galaxy devices, mainly targeting the vulnerabilities of several inbuilt functions. For example, the vulnerabilities found in the Knox system and NFC are now fixed with the update. Like this, other patches also resolve the security-related issues of the device to make it more secure.

The Galaxy S21 series device was launched back in 2021, it comes with Android 11 onboard, and now the device is upgraded to the latest Android 13 update; being a two-year-old device, it’s still eligible for one more Android update, and it will be available in the future.
