Samsung recently updated its several Galaxy devices with the latest security patch in the form of a January 2023 update. However, the update doesn’t carry any additional features other than security patches. A couple of days ago, the South Korean tech giant announced a new update for Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 4 series through the community newsroom, and it will be available in February.

But now, Samsung has just released a new OTA update for their Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, bringing with it camera controller zoom, a January 2023 security patch, and more. The update is available in the United States and Korea and will be rolling out to other regions soon. With this new update, Samsung users now have access to improved camera control and added security, along with several other performance fixes.

The latest update comes with version number R9**XXU1AWA3 for Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro. The update brings some new features, and improvements like A new “Connected device diagnostics” option has been added to check the proper performance of the Galaxy watch’s battery status, touch screen function, etc., on the connected phone. A new camera feature was added, which enhances the watch’s functionality, has also fixed some known bugs and improves the overall stability of the watch.

The Galaxy Watch 5 update has been released in the US and Korea, bringing with it a number of new features and improvements. One of the most notable new features is the ability to control the camera zoom with the watch, which should make taking photos and videos with your Galaxy Watch 5 much easier. The company has already distributed the June 2024 security update for the flagship devices in the initial stage. The June 2024 security patch, as the name suggests, is a monthly security update that doesn’t bring any important changes or features for the devices; the update is only focused on providing improvements to the overall security of the devices.

According to the official documentation, the June 2024 security patch update will provide several loophole fixes, Going into the details, there are a total of 59 loopholes addressed, of which 37 were addressed by Google, which strictly addressed the issues found in the Android systems. Along with this, 22 more fixes have been introduced by Google, which exclusively addressed the issues found in Galaxy devices.

Samsung brings June 2024 security update for Galaxy M15 and Galaxy F15

Last week, Samsung introduced the latest June 2024 security patch to many popular devices belonging to the flagship and midrange categories. Now the company has started expanding the update to budget-friendly devices, including the Galaxy M15 and Galaxy F15.

Notably, the Galaxy M15 device is spotted reviving the June 2024 security patch in India and Europe with the firmware version numbers M156BXXS2AXF3 and M156BXXS2AXF2, respectively. Meanwhile, the Galaxy F15 has received an update in India with the firmware version number E156BXXS2AXF1. 

The June 2024 security patch update is one of the normal device maintenance software updates that doesn’t bring any surprising features or major improvements, but it will provide some internal changes that will not provide direct benefit to the user but will provide indirect advantages as the device will get more protected against external threats. 

According to the official changelog, it doesn’t specify any important changes for the device, so we can assume that the update will only make some internal changes that will improve the system’s security and stability.

Samsung Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A53 receive June 2024 security patch in the US

Samsung has started rolling out the June 2024 security patch update for the Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A53 devices in the US. These are the initial units of the device that are getting a new update, and it is expected that more units will start getting new updates in the next few days.

More specifically, the update for the smartphone is spotted on some networks, including T Mobile, MetroPCS, and Dish Wireless. However, it has not yet been released for the unlocked variants. It is expected to be available on more carriers in the next few days.

The Galaxy A53 grabbed the update in the US for both locked and unlocked variants. Users who own the locked variant can identify the latest update by the firmware version number, A536USQSAEXF2. As of now, the update has arrived on several networks, including T-Mobile and Dish Wireless, and is expected to be available in more countries. Meanwhile, the unlocked variant is getting a new update with the firmware version number A536U1UES9EXF2. 

For your information, the June 2024 security patch update for the Galaxy A54 and A53 doesn’t bring any significant features or changes for the devices, but it will provide some enhancements to the working of the devices.
