The Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite is receiving the Android 13 update in the US, which includes the new security patch. The update also includes Samsung’s One UI custom skin, One UI 5.0, which brings a new user interface and a number of other features to the phone.
The Galaxy S10 Lite received Android 13 in November. Hence the suspicions that the device could remain strangely at Android 12, but in these hours, the manufacturer is distributing the major release with One UI 5.0 in the United States. The update is rolling out to carrier-unlocked Galaxy S10 Lite in the US and should reach all devices within the next few days.
The firmware is the G770U1UEU6HVL5 and includes the security patches for December 2022. The news is obviously many, and those described for the updates of the many other Samsung models are good or bad: we find a general renewal of the system, new customization possibilities (with more complete color palettes and dynamic themes, new larger icons, with improved contrasts and nuances), new animations and transition effects, new blur effects, new styles for the watch, new settings for choosing the background for the Camera app and Gallery, larger notifications, new pop-up for incoming calls, and more.
If you own a carrier-locked Galaxy S10 Lite, you may have to wait a bit longer for the update to arrive on your device. The update brings with it Android 13 and One UI 5.0.
